Duncan Ferguson
Duncan was born in 1970 in London England but grew up in Mauritius. Since then he has lived in South Africa, Australia and Papua New Guinea before settling in Canterbury. He spent many years as a professional windsurfer. In the 1990's he was inspired to become an artist through the beauty of the sea and the creativity it brought to him.
Duncan's prefered mediums are painting, drawing, silkscreen, collage, photography and sculpture.
His art is based on feelings and memories and his inspiration comes from everyday life and things around him.
In the late 1990's Duncan studied Art and Design at Canterbury College in Kent, England. He then completed an HND in Fine Art.
As well as creating fine art, Duncan also designs his own greeting cards. The cards Duncan produces are inspired by natures forms and his own art.
